Scout Programs
Tifft Nature Preserve offers a variety of hands-on Girl Scout Badge Programs throughout the year utilizing our Darling Environmental Education Center and beautiful nature trails.
For more program variety, please see our School and Group programs. Pre-registration and pre-payment required for all programs by the 15th of the prior month.
Girl Scout Programs
All programs fulfill badge requirements and include a guided outdoor experience: please dress for the weather and to walk on trails (no sandals). Physical badges are not included in the registration fee. One adult chaperone responsible for your child must remain onsite during the program.
To register for a prescheduled program date below (no Scout minimum) please register each Scout online on our EVENTS Calendar. To schedule a private program date for your Troop (minimum of 10 Scouts) please contact Tifft Nature Preserve at 716-825-6397 or [email protected].

Use the colors and sounds of nature to create art of your own while sharing the different ways to Leave No Trace and protect wildlife outdoors.
Brownies – Wow Journey

Discover how to love, save, and share the “wonders of water” while investigating aquatic habitats, watersheds, and the wildlife within.
Juniors – Get Moving Journey

Energize your understanding of the Earth’s energy and how we use, misuse, and can protect this essential resource in our daily lives.
Cadettes – Breathe Journey
November 9, 2025 & January 10, 2026| 1-4PM | $15
Take a deep breath and use ALL your senses to become aware of air quality issues in our region and around the world as we experiment with wind, fragrances, and pollution.
Seniors – Sow What Journey
November 15, 2025 & March 7, 2026 | 1-4PM | $15
Get down to the roots of our food “network” to explore the relationships between what we eat, and the land, water, air, and energy use around us.
