Operational Updates

The Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences prioritizes an environment that protects the health and safety of all our guests. We celebrate the science that has led to and informed the CDC’s actions to loosen face covering protocols for fully vaccinated individuals and we look forward with great anticipation to when all ages are eligible to receive the vaccine.

At Tifft Nature Preserve, we welcome visitors to explore our 264 acres without face coverings while outdoors. Trails are open from dawn until dusk.

We are working to reopen the Herb and Jane Darling Environmental Education Center at Tifft. Please check this page before your next visit for the latest operational updates, and you may also view the Buffalo Society of Natural Science’s reopening plan on the Buffalo Museum of Science website.

If you’re looking for resources to help you make an informed decision about COVID 19 vaccines and to help you discuss options with your family, friends, and community, we encourage you to visit vaccinesandus.org.
